STS Technical Services is hiring Aircraft Mechanics in Grand Junction, Colorado to perform advanced maintenance and repair on corporate aircraft. This role requires hands-on experience with inspection, diagnostics, structural repair, and system testing. Key Responsibilities: Perform general to complex maintenance tasks on assigned aircraft and systems Remove, install, and repair panels, sheet metal, and components Inspect and disassemble engines, systems, and parts for signs of wear or malfunction Assemble and install electrical, plumbing, hydraulic, and structural components Service aircraft systems including crankcase flushing, brake checks, lubrication, and cleaning Repair or rebuild structural components such as wings, fuselage, rigging, and hydraulic units Test engine and system operations using diagnostic tools and audio detection Remove or install engines using hoists or forklifts as needed Read and interpret technical publications, manuals, and engineering drawings Calibrate and align systems using precision tools and gauges Maintain shop equipment, tools, and work areas as required Work independently and assist with training of junior technicians Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required Associate degree in Aviation Technology preferred FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license is required At least 1 year of current experience on corporate or military aircraft Proficiency with basic computer systems; Corridor software experience is a plus Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills Quality-driven and self-motivated Valid driver’s license required; passport preferred Must pass pre-employment drug screening and comply with FAA drug and alcohol program Must be able to work overtime and alternate shifts when required Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs Routine standing, walking, bending, squatting, sitting, and stooping Repetitive motion with hands and arms required for manual work Work performed in hangar environments subject to hot and cold temperatures Benefits: STS Technical Services offers a full benefits package that includes: Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off and holidays Career advancement opportunities with industry-leading aviation clients About STS Technical Services: STS Technical Services is a Top 100 Staffing Firm and trusted recruiting partner to some of the biggest names in aerospace, defense, and industrial manufacturing.
