Assembly Supervisor – Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of ~40 assembly technicians in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain a safe, clean workspace by enforcing safety and housekeeping standards.
• Coordinate daily production to meet output, quality, and delivery goals.
• Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback.
• Interview, hire, and onboard new team members.
• Hold daily shift meetings to review goals and key updates.
• Partner with Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain to resolve issues.
• Review and approve production documentation.
• Address bottlenecks and implement process improvements.
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Drive continuous improvement (6S, kaizen, standardized work).
• Ensure accurate reporting in ERP/MRP systems.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED.
• 7+ years in manufacturing/assembly, including 3+ in a supervisory role.
• Experience managing teams of 30+ employees.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical assembly and ERP/MRP systems.
• Familiar with lean manufacturing and ISO9001/AS9100 standards.
• Skilled in communication, organization, and problem-solving.
• Able to read technical drawings and work instructions.
