Job Description

The Director of IT leads the strategic direction, innovation, and operational oversight of the organization’s technology landscape. This role ensures that IT systems and initiatives support business goals, drive digital advancement, and maintain robust infrastructure, security, and compliance. The position fosters a forward-thinking culture while aligning technology with organizational growth and efficiency.

  • Candidates must have a strong background in the manufacturing industry, with a clear understanding of the unique challenges and technology needs within that environment.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems is essential, including implementation, customization, and integration with other business applications.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing workflows and operational systems will be critical to effectively align IT strategies with production and business goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and implement a long-term technology roadmap that aligns with company objectives.
  • Supervise the architecture, deployment, and upkeep of enterprise systems, cybersecurity protocols, data management solutions, and network infrastructure.
  • Guide and support internal IT personnel and external consultants, expanding the team to meet evolving business needs and promote professional growth.
  • Define and enforce IT governance, including policies, procedures, and standards to ensure system reliability and data accuracy.
  • Oversee cybersecurity strategies, risk mitigation efforts, and disaster recovery/business continuity planning.
  • Partner with department heads to assess technology requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Administer vendor relationships, software licensing agreements, and outsourced IT services.
  • Track and report performance metrics such as system availability, helpdesk responsiveness, and project timelines.
  • Ensure adherence to data protection regulations and industry standards for information security.
  • Manage the IT budget, including forecasting future investments and identifying cost-saving opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years in IT, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial capacity.
  • Demonstrated expertise in IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud platforms, ERP systems, and project execution.
  • Strong strategic thinking and business insight, with the ability to align technology with organizational priorities.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related discipline; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Hands-on experience in network administration is required.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP, CISSP, ITIL, or equivalent are advantageous.
