Job Description

The successful candidates will be second year law students in good academic standing who will assist our in-house attorneys in handling the defense of insureds of the Auto Club, including a broad array of claims asserting damages related to automobile and homeowners’ property and casualty insurance matters. Responsibilities include working under supervision of mentor attorneys to perform and assist with multiple legal tasks, including responding to discovery, conducting legal research, law and motion work, general litigation, and trial support. The positions will provide opportunities for actual litigation experience and participation in depositions, mediations, and trials as observers. The interns will work 15-20 hours per week during the school year in a hybrid arrangement employing both remote access and in-office work, with summer internship schedules up to 30 hours per week. The internship coincides with the broader AAA Roadways College Interns program, providing additional networking opportunities and exposure to a broad spectrum of departments. Qualifications include being a second year law student in good academic standing and a desire to continue with the Auto Club as a full-time litigation attorney post-graduation and upon successful passage of the California bar exam.
