Job Description
We’re searching for a dedicated Medical Transcriptionist to join a dynamic pathology department. You’ll collaborate closely with pathologists, laboratory staff, and office personnel to prepare final pathology reports that meet the highest standards of accuracy and professionalism.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Transform dictation into polished, client-ready pathology reports with accuracy and finesse.
Format surgical pathology reports using requisition forms, gross descriptions, and pathologists’ dictations.
Evaluate each pathology case to ensure it includes complete and correct documentation, following up with pathologists for additional details when necessary.
Manage documentation and distribution for consultation reports and specialized testing.
Apply your knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology to ensure reports are flawless.
Handle confidential information with care and professionalism.
Pitch in with additional laboratory or administrative tasks as needed.
Work with systems like Winscribe Dictation and CERNER to produce top-quality reports.
What We’re Looking For:
Experience: 5+ years in transcription, preferably in pathology.
Skills: Strong familiarity with systems such as Winscribe Dictation and CERNER, and a solid understanding of medical terminology.
Traits: Attention to detail, confidentiality, and a commitment to producing work of the highest quality.
