AdventHealth for Children is seeking a Pediatric Cardiac Surgery and Congenital Heart Surgeon to join our program in Orlando. This surgeon will provide pediatric cardiac surgery at AdventHealth for Children in Orlando.

Requirements of the position:

• Board Certification or Eligibility by the American Board of Surgery and American Board of Thoracic Surgery, focused on Congenital Cardiac Surgery
• Active FL medical license, or ability to obtain
• Ability to perform the full spectrum of pediatric cardiac surgery, including neonatal surgery, adult congenital, and mechanical circulatory support
• Pediatric Heart Failure and Heart Transplantation specialist with UNOS certification preferred, but not required
• Team player mentality and participation in multidisciplinary daily rounds

Hospital Overview:

Our Walt Disney Pavilion at AdventHealth for Children is a full-service, tertiary childrens hospital with over 200 dedicated pediatric beds, including a 22-bed PICU, 10-bed Cardiac ICU, 102-bed NICU, and a pediatric emergency department. We started our pediatric open-heart program in 2012 with a strong track record of positive outcomes. Our network includes 27 hospitals across the state, with several successful pediatric subspecialty programs and pediatric liver transplant services.

Practice Overview:

Location Overview:

Our practice is located in the outpatient center on the AdventHealth for Children campus, close to residential areas, attractions, and beaches.
