Job Description

Pharmacy Operations is responsible for the safe, efficient and effective coordination of Cardinal Health's pharmacy operations that service acute care hospitals, hospital retail customers, ambulatory care and alternate site facilities, oncology and cardiology practices as well as retail customers. Pharmacy Services & Delivery is responsible for the prompt and accurate delivery and distribution of radiopharmaceuticals or oncology pharmaceuticals to medical care providers in accordance with customer demand and requirements of the assigned route. Prepares doses for shipment, prepares cases, wipes doses, and loads and unloads containers in keeping with the prescribed safety standards and Department of Transportation (DOT). Shift/Schedule: 40 hour per week. Typical schedule is Saturday and Sunday 6:30am - 2:00pm and 3 weekday shifts (alternating between 5am – 1:30pm or 9:30am – 6pm). Candidate must be flexible to work different days, schedules, shifts and overtime as per business need. Responsibilities include preparing and making deliveries to customer accounts on assigned route using a company vehicle (non-cdl), packaging radiopharmaceutical medication for shipment, performing testing, loading/unloading containers, using a handheld tablet to scan customer orders for accuracy, obtaining route stop information and navigation, processing packages returned from customer locations, maintaining vehicles in proper working condition and performing minor roadside repairs, performing general facility cleaning and other duties as required. Qualifications: High school diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience preferred; must hold a valid driver's license and have a good driving record; prior delivery driving experience a plus; ability to manage weight up to 75 pounds; may require vendor credentialing; comfortable driving in all weather conditions during day or night hours; ability to sit, stand, be mobile and operate a vehicle for extended periods of time; strong customer service and communication skills; flexibility to work various shifts or overtime as needed; ability to use computers and tablets. Additional expectations include applying acquired knowledge and skills to complete standard tasks, readily learning and applying new information and methods to work in assigned area, maintaining appropriate licenses, training and certifications, working on routine assignments that require some problem resolution, working within clearly defined standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods, adhering to all quality guidelines, working under moderate degree of supervision, work typically involves regular review of output by work lead or supervisor, and referring complex unusual problems to supervisor.
