PRODUCT DEVELOPER – STERLING SILVER JEWELRY

The company is a fashion forward Sterling Silver and Fashion Jewelry Company located in mid-town Manhattan.

They work with numerous accounts including Nordstrom, Bloomingdales & Von Maur as well as various private label accounts. They are looking for a product developer to work in our Sterling Silver department.

Job description:

• Own product development process from initial design through prototype development to production
• Work closely with suppliers to meet product requirements including design specs, material review, costing and packaging requirements.
• Negotiate costing to achieve internal margin requirements.
• Act as liaison between sales and suppliers to support retailer specific trends.
• Work directly with our sales and design teams to bring innovative products to market weekly while maintaining the profitability of your category.

• Ability to effectively manage competing priorities
• Highly organized with strong follow-up and follow-through
• Productive, dedicated and process-driven team player with heavy attention to detail
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment, prioritize workload successfully and execute projects with fast-turnaround, ahead of tight deadlines
• Highly proficient in Excel and power point
