  • Skilled in evaluating requests for new or modified frequency assignments based on system characteristics and airspace requirements.
  • Experience supporting coordination with external stakeholders on frequency usage concerns.
  • Ability to prepare engineering input for risk assessments, safety cases, or technical white papers.
  • Comfort with maintaining detailed records and documenting analysis in a manner accessible to non-engineers.
  • Familiarity with tools used for frequency impact analysis, interference prediction, or electromagnetic compatibility assessment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for interaction with internal safety teams and external frequency users.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Skilled at working with internal stakeholders and external agencies to coordinate spectrum usage and resolve technical issues.
  • Comfortable participating in technical discussions and communicating findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Strong ability to interpret technical data and prepare documentation such as coordination summaries, engineering notes, and standard operating procedures.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Telecommunications, or a related technical field, with a minimum of four years of relevant experience. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • At least 3 years of experience in spectrum management, frequency coordination, or systems engineering related to surveillance and safety systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience and deep knowledge of frequency assignment principles, RF propagation, and interference mitigation.
  • Previous experience with Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS), Urban Air Mobility (UAM), and Advanced Air Mobility (AAM).
